On Reddit, a user named susannediazz posted a video of their “force lightning-powered” airboat on the r/tearsofthekingdom subreddit. In theTears of the Kingdomvideo, the OP showed that her airboat had four large propellors which were fused onto large springs and long wooden planks on each side in an arm pattern. While the boat’s sail added to the look, susannediazz said it added unnecessary weight and made it difficult to make some turns in the air, so they removed it a few seconds into the video. In order to power the airboat, the Reddit user useda known item duplication glitchcalled “fuse entanglement” and placed some Shock Emitters near the water to continuously shoot lightning at the boat’s propellors within a wide radius.
While otherTears of the Kingdomplayers have used Zonai devices to make drones andhelicopters that run on nearly-endless energy, the airboat from susannediazz reminded one Redditor of the airships from theFinal Fantasyseries, such as the Falcon fromFinal Fantasy 6. In response to the build, someTears of the Kingdomplayers noted that the large propellors were “smuggled” from nearby shrines by fusing them onto shields and detaching them in Tarrey Town to stow away for future. Players also noted that any missing parts can be replaced in Autobuild for a small Zonaite cost.
Betweenunique remote-controlled vehiclesand the lightning-powered airboat, the ingenuity of Tears of the Kingdomplayers will continue to grow as time goes by. It remains to be seen what kinds of devices players will create next.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available now for Nintendo Switch.
