Turtle Scale Bracers are a piece of gear made with Leatherworking, but as far as endgame SoD Raiding gear goes, it’s not that impressive. It doesn’t offer anystats for damage-dealersor tanks, sells for just 40 silver to a vendor, and requires some relatively limited and sometimes pricey materials to craft. So why does everyone want Turtle Scale bracers?
A few weeks after Phase Two released in early February 2024, a huge update rolled out for Waylaid Supplies. Compared to the launch of SoD, Waylaid Supplies now gave much, much more Gold as a reward, with the highest-ranking ones going for 12 Gold total.
Turtle Scale Bracers are in such demand because they are one of the few items that can be listed for the highest tier of Waylaid Supplies in Phase Two. Because players now get a lot of Gold for turning in completed Waylaid Supplies, the once nearly-useless Turtle Scale Bracers have skyrocketed in price.

Arguably the easiest way to get Turtle Scale Bracers is to just buy them off of the AH, but because they are in such high demand, it ends up being significantly cheaper to gather materials (or buy materials) and craft them.
