While taking down the Doomwalker was previously the only way to obtain the Illidari Doomhawk, that is no longer the case. Despite the fact that the Illidari Doomhawk was neverthe rarest drop in the history ofWorld of Warcraft, its drop rate changed over the years in response to player feedback. But, thanks to a hotfix that was released in November 2023, the Illidari Doomhawk was made available for purchase from a troll NPC named Historian Ma’di. The NPC is located within the Caverns of Time, not far from where players are able to accept quests to kill Azuregos and other bosses fromWoW’s past. But, for 5,000 Timewarped Badges, Historian Ma’di will sell players the Illidari Doomhawk.

These badges are obtained by completing Anniversary quests, as well as Timewalking dungeons and raids whenever they are available. However, mount collectors that have continued to take down the Doomwalker will not leave empty-handed, as the draconic Azure Worldchiller mount is now a guaranteed drop in place of the Illidari Doomhawk. Though there are other dragonhawks obtainable inWorld of Warcraft, it remains to be seen if the Illidari Doomhawk will benefit fromDynamic Flying in a futureWorld of Warcraftupdate.

Between the Illidari Doomhawk anda major reputation bufffor a chance at more rewards, the end of November is a busy time inWorld of Warcraft. Only time will tell how many players will claim the Illidari Doomhawk for themselves.
