Ancient Zaqali Chest Location
The Ancient Zaqali Chest inWorld of Warcraftis inside a large cavernous buildingin the Zaqali Caldera atcoordinates (36.6, 48.7). It can be easily spotted on the minimap when nearby, marked with a gray treasure chest icon. The chest is situated at the back right of the cave, just past a group of Zaqali tribe djaradin.
These enemies will engage the player, even if they sneak by with stealth or invisibility, as soon as they interact with the chest. Therefore, it is recommended that the playerdefeat these enemies before attempting to open the chest. However, even before the player can open the Ancient Zaqali Chest, they will need to collectBottled Magma.
Bottled Magma Location
Bottled Magma is contained in a small vial. It spawns inmultiple locations throughout the Zaqali Caldera, and multiple bottles can spon at once. It is relatively easy to see despite the overwhelming orange tint of the zone, as it will sparkle like other interactable items. However, it can be challenging to safely loot Bottled Magma. The area is dense with enemies, and the player can use their Dragonriding mount for a limited time before getting dismounted by the area’s defenses.
After locating a vial of Bottled Magma, right-click to interact with it. The bottle will despawn, and the player will gain the Bottled Magma buff. This buff lasts for 5 minutes and will disappear upon death, so the player will want to be careful on their way back to the Ancient Zagali Chest.
Possible Bottled Magma Locations in Zaqali Caldera
In the Zaqali Caldera, Bottled Magma vials are typically located on the ground near a djaradin table, forge, or other object. If the player is lucky, they may find Bottled Magma right outside the building housing the Ancient Zaqali Chest. Some potential spawn locations to find Bottled Magma to unlock the chest include:
36.7, 48.7
Right side of a door to a building
35.7, 48.7
Near a djaradin forge
34.3, 42.6
Near skeletal remains
38.7, 50.7
Near a cave entrance
41.1, 50.6
Near a table
42.3, 45.4
Near a weapon rack
28.1, 51.0
On a table
Note that looting another Bottled Magma while the aforementioned buff is active won’t extend the buff duration. If the player thinks they won’t make it to the Ancient Zaqali Chest before the buff expires, they canright-click on the buff icon to remove it.They can then search for another Bottled Magma that’s closer to the chest location.
If the player is struggling to find a Bottled Magma, they can die and fly around the area in ghost form as the object remains visible. The player can then take note of their spawn location, locate their corpse to return to life, and return to the Bottled Magma location they discovered. Bottled Magma despawns after it is looted, but will respawn after a period of time.
Unlocking The Ancient Zaqali Chest
Once the Bottled Magma has been obtained and the buff received, head back to the Ancient Zaqali Chest at coordinates (36.6, 48.7). To unlock the chest, simply approach the chest and click the Extra Action Button. This will present a green, ground-targeting circle that must be aimed over the chest. Once aimed, left-click use the Bottled Magma on the chest, which will melt the locks. Once unlocked, the player can right-click the chest to open it and collect the bounty within.
The Ancient Zaqali Chest can contain a variety of items available through other means in Zaralak Cavern, including a small amount of gold, Shadowflame Crest Fragments, Flightstones, potions and phials, green-quality gear, and Dragon Isles Supplies. Once the chest has been looted, it will despawn and cannot be looted again.
