New And Returning Pokemon

NoPokemonDLC would be complete without some new creatures. The Indigo Disk will feature a handful of never-before-seen monsters, one of which Terapagos, who serves as a mascot of sorts for The Indigo Disk.Terapagos' normal form was first revealed in thePokemonanime, where some initially thought it to be a pre-evolution to the Terastal form.

Terapagos is not the only new Pokemon that will be featured in The Indigo Disk. There aretwo new Paradox Pokemonthat will be making an appearance: Raging Bolt and Iron Crown. Raging Bolt is a long-necked Pokemon that resembles the Legendary beast Raikou, while Iron Crown is a robotic version of Generation 5 legendary Cobalion. The popular Generation 8 Pokemon Duraludon is also getting a new evolution, which resembles a suspension bridge.

Carmine and Kieran from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

It is not known if there will be any other new Pokemon in The Indigo Disk. There are rumors ofa final evolution to Dipplin, the candy apple Pokemon that was introduced in The Teal Mask. Over 100 creatures from previous generations will be making a return. However, quite a few Pokemon from the National Pokedex will still be absent after the new additions.

New and Returning Characters

The Indigo Disk takes place at Blueberry Academy, a sister school to the one the player attends in Paldea. Blueberry Academy is reportedly in the Unova region, and is a relatively new school that has a curriculum that focuses on Pokemon battling.Blueberry Academy even has its own Elite Fourthat the player will presumably have to challenge at some point.

Blueberry Academy appears to be a massive facility that is mostly underwater. It has four artificial biomes for the player to explore, each with a different climate. The facility is mostly underwater and appears to be far out at sea, so it is unlikely that players will have access to the Unova region itself.

Players will be able to invite some characters from Paldeato visit Blueberry Academy. Doing so will enable the player to learn more about the characters, battle them, and even trade Pokemon. On top of that, the Blueberry Academy students Carmine and Kieran from The Teal Mask will presumably crop up again.

Blueberry Academy Club Activities

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers will be able to take part in Blueberry Academy’s Battle League Club’s activities. In doing so, the player will earn Blueberry Points (a currency within Blueberry Academy) to help out other clubs and earn rewards. For example, after helping the Art Club, the player will be able to remodel the Battle League Clubroom.

There are also a variety of activities and character interactions in The Indigo Disk to look forward to, and perhaps most importantly it will bring The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero story to a close. It must be noted that players will have to complete the story of both the baseScarlet and Violetgame as well as The Teal Mask DLC to access The Indigo Disk.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare available now on Nintendo Switch. The Indigo Disk DLC is set to release in Winter 2023.
