By switching subtitles on, players can kick back and fully immerse themselves in the medieval Arabian world, listening to traders calling their wares in their natural tongue.
Eventhe best open-world games set in Asiadon’t normally have this option, so it is a good opportunity for players to enjoy a fully authentic experience. The subtitles also include certain formal Arabic greetings and farewells, with an explanation translated, so players might even learn a thing or two.
2Turn Off The HUD
Arguably the easiest way to improve immersion inAssassin’s Creed Mirageis to turn off elements of the HUD to remove clutter from the screen. Having no HUD allows players to see the medieval metropolis of Baghdad as though they were there themselves in person rather than experiencing it as a video game.
Of course, the HUD does have its uses, and certain elements such as the compass and icons are more important for playing the game than others. With the cinematic camera enabled, the HUD disappears, leaving players with a beautiful view of their mount and the surrounding countryside. 4Wear Outfits That Blend In
Ironically, the Hidden Ones who would go on to become the Assassin Brotherhood, aren’t that hidden when they walk around Baghdad in their iconic outfits, but thankfully players can change Basim’s attire for something more subtle, which would realistically help him fit in with the populace of the city.
Of course, players must first unlock new outfits and appearances, but once they have a few to choose from they can look at what other NPCs wear and try to fit in. ThankfullyMiragehasa transmog systemthat allows players to choose their appearance while maintaining the stats and benefits of the best gear. By not standing out like a sore thumb, players will find exploration and stealth gameplay much more immersive.
5Turn Off Enemy Proximity
Assassin’s Creed Mirageis afantastic open-world stealth game, but to make the stealth gameplay more immersive and realistic, players can disable enemy proximity in the interface options menu. This essentially means that enemies won’t be highlighted in red, and instead players must check corners themselves or use their Eagle to scout out guard locations.
Other than making for a more challenging experience, turning enemy proximity off will also make the game look better and more historically authentic.
6Try To Walk When Appropriate

Of course, most of the time players will want to soar along the rooftops with the franchise’s iconic parkour. However, if they are going to buy something from a merchant, walking would be much more appropriate than running when they are close. Walking instead of running in the lead-up to a stealth mission is also more realistic, as an assassin would not want to draw attention to themselves.
7Use Immersive Mods
