Warlanderis anepic new free-to-play gamethat is set in the medieval period and pits two teams of players against each other. Their goal is simple: protect their own castle while breaching the opponent’s castle. Currently, there are three classes for players to choose from. They’ll need to prepare their characters for battle and understand how they work to successfully help their team.

One of these classes inWarlanderis the Mage. This class is very squishy when compared to the other two but packs a powerful punch when used correctly. Players will need to know how to create their mage to get the most from it and succeed at staying alive long enough to take out the opponent’s core. Some helpful tips will go a long way towarda successful build.
5Choose The Right Weapons
The Mage hasseveral weapons availableto them, but they’re not all extremely useful. Players will want to ensure they focus on using the ones with the most value. The first one that players should equip is the Magic Arrows. Essentially, this weapon is a rapid-fire weapon that does the most damage when players hit their enemies in the head.
The second preferred weapon is Fireball. Its main purpose is to provide superior demolition abilities for walls and siege weapons. Players can help their teams advance faster and further with this weapon equipped.
4Equip The Best Skills
For the best results, the Mage will need to usethe best skillsthey have at their disposal. There are several available, but specific ones pack the most punch. The first one is Rocket Punch, which is an awesome AOE attack. It will stop Warriors from attacking the Mage, which is essential because of the amount of damage they can inflict and the Mage’s lower defenses. While they’re kept at a distance, the Mage can then attack with their Magic Arrows. The second skill is Fog, which allows the Mage to cover a large area. This coverage lets the team get in for someserious DPS damagebefore taking any damage on their side.

The next skill necessary is Flash Step. This skill is similar to teleporting a safe distance to keep the Mage from taking damage, allowing them to escape from a Warrior. The final essential skill is Lightning. It’s an awesome AOE attack that doesn’t require the player to specifically focus or target. Additionally, it can be used almost immediately at the start of a fight to rapidly decrease the enemy’s HP. Once that’s done, the melee fighters can move in to clean up.
3Choose Armor With The Right Perks
Because the Mage is so squishy, it’s essential to findthe right armorto counteract this trait. The primary perk of any armor chosen should be to boost its HP because of how low it is normally. If players don’t do this, they run the risk of getting eliminated rather quickly in the battle.
Players should also focus on Warrior killer perks. This will help them face down the threat of Warriors, and keep their Mages alive for a lot longer. When first creating their Mage, players must check their equipment screen. They will not have any equipped and will need to add on whatever they have available, or their Mage will be entirely defenseless.
2Pay Attention To CP
When players start out in the game, their CP will be capped at a relatively low number. Because of this, they’ll need to pay close attention when adding new equipment. The more potent equipment is, the more CP it will cost, as one would expect.

They’ll need to ensure that whatever equipment fits their CP budget is worth equipping. As new equipment unlocks, it won’t all fit within the given budget, and it takes time and effort to unlock higher CP. They’ll need to ensure they use theright combination of equipmentthat fits their CP budget and offers the best perks to keep their Mage alive longer, dealing as much damage as possible to the opponent’s team.
1Choose The Appropriate Title
While Titles aren’t available right off the bat, once they become available, players will need to choose an appropriate one to get the maximum benefit. Many Titles require a certain level of XP for a specific character or completing certain requirements. Once players achieve these requirements, they can assign their Mage the Title they want.
The perk of Titles is that CP will be increased, allowing for better equipment purchases. Better Titles come from longer playtimes, but players will also need to be on teams that have players with no Titles as this will round out the experience needed to earn new ones. Additionally, it’s important not to give a Title too early. Having too many Titled characters in the player’s deck can be a highly problematic strategy.
