Transformers: Rise of the Beastsis currently filming, which means fans may catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Optimus Prime’s G1 redesign while the Paramount movie is filming in Brooklyn.Transformers 7will be a follow-up to the 2018Bumblebeefilm, which was theTransformersseries' best-received entry from a critical perspective.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' plot is not known as of yet but it’s expected to be based on theBeast Warsanimated series, which debuted in 1996.Beast Warsfollows the events of the war between the Autobots/Decepticons, but this time it revolves around the descendants of these two species: the Maximals, who come from the Autobots, and Predacons, who come from the Decepticons. These two factions were fighting as they crash-landed on a mysterious and different planet, and they continued to wage war while trying to figure a way to return home.

It’s unclear how accurateTransformers 7will portray this story but expect it to set up a new group of movies that will propel the movie franchise further in its storyline, as it appearsBumblebeereally caused a lot of change on the creative side. Many fans were starting togrow tired of theTransformersfilm franchiseand started to miss the iconic cartoons from their childhood. Now it seems that Paramount trying to make up for the lost time by further fleshing out the story into something that can be enjoyed by fans and critics alike. If nothing else, the set photos and videos fromTransformers 7indicate the creative team behind the film is hoping to bring the classic G1 designs of the robots to the live-action film franchise.
Transformers 7was definitely overdue for a reboot, as the plot continued to be bogged down by repetition and ended up becoming a film franchise that was only visually appealing as well as explosive. Now it seems Paramount is aiming to make the plot stand head and shoulders above the visuals, as that’s where it matters most.Beast Warswas loved during its time and received a Daytime Emmy Award for its animation, so the plot needs to fill the shoes of its predecessor.
It’s too early to tell ifTransformers 7will delve into the descendent species, but if it does then fans can expect another sequel film to follow this up.Transformers 7will hopefully answer the question of whether thefranchise should continue down the live-action route or return to its animated format, as both the games and shows have been known for doing very well in their field.
Regardless, it’s nice to see fans' childhood on the big screen. TheTransformers 7release date was revealeda while back, but as of now they’re still filming so take it with a grain of salt, as these films require a great deal of CGI and special effects.
