TheTotal War: Warhammer 3community has been on the edge of its seat for the last couple of months, after the release of the full showcase gameplay that was shown back in May. With the introduction of so many new unit types in the game, and the final DLC being released forTotal War: Warhammer 2, players are at the peak of their excitement for the next installment in the series. Much of this final DLC came as a hint towards the newest content of the third game, but Creative Assembly has left fans without a definite release date as of yet.
TheTotal War: Warhammerseries is unlike many other games, in that each game adds directly onto each other. The majority of the community owns both the first and second game, which combine into an extremely large map with dozens of starting positions and factions to choose from. Since the release of theTotal War: Warhammer 3announcement trailerback in February promising boatloads of new content and a 2021 release date, the community has been ecstatically searching for the exact date of release.

Fortunately for excited followers of the series, a keen-eyed fan spotted a date assigned by ShopTo for the release date of the game. ShopTo is a UK-based retailer where players can preorder upcoming games, as well as add-on content likeTotal War: Warhammerlegendary lords DLC. This particular fan was able to find the company had marked the game for an apparent release on November 4th. Whether this is simply a placeholder date or not fans are unsure, but this date would quite well fit the trends of many AAA games. It also aligns with the initial announcement trailer promising a release within 2021.
Skeptics would consider this immediately to be a placeholder, as the company is completely yet to release information on the release of the game to the public. The true date for release is definitely unknown, yet a major release around the holidays is a common tactic by largescale video game developers. If Creative Assembly is still adding content and assemblingiconic voice actors fromTotal War: Warhammer 2, they may require until November for a full release anyway.
Others are quick to deter believing in pre-order game release dates. These dates tend to be assigned arbitrarily, and usually do not truly align with an upcoming game’s release date until the public is finally informed. Despite this though, ShopTo is considered quite a reputable source as the company has been in the scene for some time. Fans of the series can only hope to hear a release date soon, especially now thatTotal War: Warhammer 2DLChas finished being released.
