McFarlane Toys’ connections in the video game industry go pretty deep, as the toy manufacturer currently carries products for franchises likeBorderlands,Call of Duty,Cuphead,Doom,FortniteandMortal Kombat, as well asthe upcomingCyberpunk 2077. Well, as if that weren’t enough, their ties to CD Projekt Red will now see them release action figures featuringThe Witchertoo, all of the witchers for that matter.
Back in August, the company announced they would be releasing a Geralt of Rivia action figure, based on the character’s appearance inThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as part of their 2020 fall lineup. The rampant success of the Netflix show, which is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, rather than the game, has inspired them to expand on that with a new set ofWitchermerchandise.

The news of a future white-haired Henry Cavill action figure was dropped via McFarlane Toys’Instagramaccount, but unfortunately there aren’t any images yet available to compare the model’s likeness to the show’s cast of actors or even any details on which characters will be featured.
The post does feature the wolf and swallow medallion used in most of Netflix’s promo material forThe Witcher, marking them as a 2021 release, though it’s unclear if that could coincide with the series’ season 2 premiere.
Recently, McFarlane Toys also released a set of figurines based on some of the characters from Warner Bros’ delayedDunefilm, which were probably planned to go along with the movie. That fate hopefully stays far fromThe Witcher’sproduction team, as filming continues to go on smoothly and they share constant updates on the show’s development, mainly focused on new looks for its protagonists, as well asome of the series' other lovable creatures.
Netflix aptlyshared a monster mash video for Halloweenshowing some of the monsters seen inThe Witcheralready, though those won’t be making it as action figures any time soon. Instead, expect a handsome trio of Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer. Maybe Jaskier if McFarlane is feeling generous.
