When the streamer finally made it through the door he’d been stuck at, he found a parade of other players waiting for him. Many had formed into two neat roots, lining either side of the path that Asmongold was going to take like palace guards escorting royalty. Others had climbed onto some ofFinal Fantasy 14’s impressive mounts, particularly flying ones, which filled the in-game skies with feathered and leathery wings.

Asmongold stated in the stream that the turn-out was incredible, that he’d never seen anything like this before, and then thanked the players for turning out to meet him. Then he began making his way through the crowd to try and proceed to Ishgard. However, the sheer number of players once again caused some trouble when he tried to leave the area. His eventual arrival in Ishgard was greeted by another, smaller crowd of players that followed him around for a while.
