Executive Producer Saul Gascon and Creative Director Cezar Virtosu discussedthe upcomingLords of the Fallenin a recent interview with MP1st. When asked aboutLords of the Fallen’s length, Gascon responded that it usually takes the developers about 25 hours to complete one playthrough. However, they benefit from having made the game, and they expect new players to spend a bit over 30 hours on average.

Virtosu agreed and gave the example ofLords of the Fallen’s tutorial section. According to Virtosu, it should take a new player about an hour and a half to clear it. However, he and the other developers can make it through in about 25 minutes or less. These anecdotes should give players some idea of how long a first run takes compared to later playthroughs after the player fully mastersLords of the Fallen.

Gascon added thattheLords of the Fallenrebootalso features multiple classes and different endings based on which faction the player supports. Hexworks hasn’t shared a complete list of the new game’s factions. However, developers have given fans a preview ofLords of the Fallen’s ten starting classes, one more than the previous game. These initial builds offer a lot of variety, and Hexworks hopes the different playstyles will help encourage repeat playthroughs.

Gascon also talked briefly aboutLords of the Fallen’sNew Game+ mode. While he wanted to leave some surprises for the players, he gave one example related to the Ancient Vestiges. Vestiges areLords of the Fallen’s equivalent of Dark Soul’s bonfires and are the only way for dead players to escape Umbra. Players can build new Vestiges or take advantage of Ancient Vestiges scattered around the map. However, New Game+ only has one Ancient Vestige, though players can still create more.

Lords of the Fallenreleases for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 13.
