Unlike most of the other ores inThe Planet Crafter, zeolite isn’t a single element but is a family of minerals made up of silicon, aluminum, and oxygen. However, just like in real life the zeolite of the game has all sorts of uses in organic chemistry.
However, finding zeolite can be a tricky process. There’s only one location inThe Planet Crafterwhere players can find this mineral immediately, but then the amount of zeolite in the game goes up considerably as the Flora stage of terraformation progresses. So where can players get their hands on this material and, more importantly, how can they use it?

Meteor Field
There’s only one place where players can find zeolite when the game starts. On the south edge of the map is a region called Meteor Field, and while it’s hard to reach it’s easy to spot since it’s covered in black-and-white rocks and the sky is always black once players walk in. This region has a variety of rare minerals on the ground just waiting for players to mine them, including aluminum, osmium, zeolite, and even pulsar quartz.
Root Growths
The primary way players will find zeolite is during and afterthe Flora stage of terraformation. Between the Moss and Flora stages, plant roots will slowly grow out of the ground and push aside large rocks in the process. A zeolite deposit hangs on every root, and players can mine them once they push out far enough. By the time the Flora stage is complete, all the roots will be fully exposed. Players should be ready to explore areas they’ve already searched, because these roots show up all across the map.
At the same time as the roots, vines start to grow in specific locations. Players can click on these vines to climb them and get to areas that are otherwise hard to reach, such as the isolated mesas in the Grand Rift region. A vine also appears in the Iridium Mine that lets players reach the Balcony, and the Balcony contains a few zeolite deposits.
The Zeolite Cave
Like the name suggests, the Zeolite Cave is full of zeolite. It has three entrances: one above the Sand Falls, one on the rim of the Meteor Crater, and one that connects tothe osmium cave by the Sulfur Fields. Unfortunately, none of the large zeolite deposits on the floor or ceiling can be mined, and mineable zeolite doesn’t appear here until the Flora stage, just like the rest of the map.
However, one thing players can do here is set up Ore Extractors. The T2 model can produce rare minerals like zeolite, and the Zeolite Cave is flat and open and can fit plenty of extractors. Players should keep in mind that parts of the cave flood during later terraformation stages, but the non-flooded area is the only place where Ore Extractors can generate zeolite.
Zeolite Uses
The reason why zeolite is so hard to find until the Flora stage is because players will have no use for it until this point. That said, once zeolite starts appearing players will find plenty of blueprints that call for it. They include:
