A Reddit user by the name of ZeldaModel remade the entire overworld ofOcarina of Timefrom a top-down perspective out of clay. The overworld contains all of the unique locations presented throughout the game, such asKakariko Village, Death Mountain, and Zora’s Domain. From such a zoomed-out perspective, it’s easy to tell where everything is given the iconic designs of all the different environments presented in the game.

Even Hyrule Field includes all of the details featured in the game, such as Lon Lon Ranch and the drawbridge that leads the player into the shopping district outside ofHyrule Castle. There’s even a portion that includes the Deku Tree just outside of Kokiri Forest. The attention to detail is staggering and manages to encapsulate the world ofOcarina of Timein a very unique way.

In any case, it’s amazing to see how much longevityOcarina of Timehas had, separate from the overallZeldafranchise. The fact that iconic locations fromOcarina of Timestill make active appearances in subsequent games in theZeldafranchise, such asTwilight PrincessandBreath of the Wild. The fact that the entire overworld can be remade out of clay and still be easily recognizable is a testament to how much of an impact the game has had on the people that played it.

It will be interesting to see howOcarina of Timemay influenceZeldagoing forward. The recent trailer forBreath of the Wild 2at E3 2021 didn’t give much away location-wise, but if the game is using the same map that was featured in the firstBreath of the Wild, then it’s likely that these same locations will make a second appearance.
