Summary
Dragon Ageis a series that needs no introduction, with players patiently waiting for the next entry in the series that will let players interact with this dark fantasy world once again. Going up against Solas after spending an entire game getting to know him is bound to be a tantalizing prospect that players can’t get enough of, and they can only hope that this title lives up to all the hype surrounding it.
There are many classes that players can try out inDragon Age, with the Berserker class being a fan-favorite for players who just want to go bananas in battle and put their characters at risk while trying to dish out as much damage as possible. There are many berserkers in the game, with some being more powerful than others.
One thing that players love about BioWare games is the many arena battles that are present across most titles made by this developer.Dragon Age: Originsis no exception here, with players having the opportunity to participate in the Provings and showcase their strength to the dwarves as they settle various disputes via good old-fashioned combat.
One of the people that players can potentially face off against during this tournament is Piotin Aeducan. He only goes against the player if theysupport Lord Harrowmont to take the throne. It’s a tough battle, as one would expect from a berserker who takes no prisoners. Still, compared to the power that most berserkers exhibit in the series, most players shouldn’t find it too challenging to take Piotin down after a tense battle.
A servant of Corypheus who went mad after eating darkspawn flesh to better serve his master in a twisted ritual, it’s a shame that Rhatigan’s mind is addled beyond saving whenHawke and the rest of the gangencounter him during the events ofDragon Age 2: Legacy. As the party clears the Carta Hideout, players will encounter the maddened Rhatigan, who engages them in combat.
As one would expect, this berserker is pretty tough, even when his mind is well and truly lost. In a way, this almost aids his fighting style as a berserker, as he puts himself in harm’s way without a second thought to attempt to maximize his DPS. Unfortunately, his quest to attain the blood of Malcolm Hawke dies with him when the heroes make quick work of this foe. It’s possible that this character would’ve been even stronger had he regained control of his faculties, but that’s nothing more than speculation at this point.
3Brogan Dace
A Dwarf From The Noble Caste Who Represents The Dace Family
The Golems of Amgarrakisa decent addition to the narrative ofDragon Age: Originsthat lets players interact with a unique quest. During their adventures here, they’ll have the opportunity to take on one of the Dace brothers as a companion, who just so happens to be a reaver and berserker.
Suffice it to say, Brogan’s status as a companion means he’s bound to be a powerful addition to any party. He hits like a truck and can make short work of foes, as long as they’re not too complacent when it comes to keeping his health up from time to time. With enough levels, he can boast enough power to tackle the strongest foes in the game.
2Oghren
A Crass Companion In The First Game
It’s impossible to talk about berserkers inDragon Agewithout mentioning Oghren, a companion with a pretty intriguing story and a love for all things alcoholic. Behind his merry facade hides a painful tale that the Warden can help him resolve, which involves making amends with his wife, despite her heinous actions.
In combat,Oghren is a skillful berserkerwho can take anyone for a ride with a bevy of powerful attacks. After gaining enough levels, he can stand toe-to-toe with the strongest enemies in the game, which is no mean feat given the tough opposition that the Gray Warden and his team tackle by the end of the game. Players who want to learn this specialization should make it a point to max out their affinity with him so that he feels nice enough to teach the Gray Warden some tricks of the trade.
1Luthias Dwarfson
A Chieftain During The Ancient Age
A member of the Alamarri clan who learned the ways of the berserker, Luthias Dwarfson is one of the most important historical figures in Orzammar. The story surrounding this legendary warriorinvolves love, betrayal, and accidental filicide, making for one of the most interesting tidbits inDragon Age’s lore.
To this day, the Ash Warriors employ the techniques of a berserker to pay their respects to this legendary figure. It’s clear that this man is one of the most powerful figures in the history ofDragon Age, introducing people to a way of fighting that favors reckless abandon and pure damage over everything else. Despite not making a direct appearance in the series, the sheer importance this character holds makes it clear why he’s the strongest and most important character inDragon Ageby a country mile.
