The massiveTerraria1.4 update, also known as Journey’s End, has arrived, and it is is bringing a ton of new content to Re-Logic’s acclaimedsandbox game. This new content includes a Journey and Master mode, an in-game Bestiary, and a new final sword that is called Zenith. For players that are looking to obtainTerraria’s Zenith in 1.4, this guide has all of the details that they will need.
To put things simply, players that want the Zenith sword inTerrariawill need to combine nine other swords using a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil. These nine other swords are obtained in a variety of different ways, and here is exactly how players should go about procuring the weapons required for craftingTerraria’s 1.4 final sword:

Not only is theZenithimmensely powerful, but it’s painstaking to produce, taking players all over the world and through a variety of bosses just to get the materials together to craft this bladed behemoth. To give players better guidance onhow to craft Zenith in Terraria, the following list has been updated. It now includes additional information on the swords needed to build the blade, as well as the differences between the console and PC versions when it comes to crafting some of the necessary materials.
How to Craft Terraria’s Zenith Sword
Players will need thefollowing nine swordsto craft the Zenith inTerraria1.4:
The following two swords must be crafted. Here they are and their additional recipes:
Copper Shortsword
To make the Copper Shortsword, all players need to do iscraft it at an Iron or Lead Anvil using seven Copper Bars. To make one Copper Bar, players will need to combine three Copper Ore at a Furnace. Copper Ore can be found surface-level and underground and is immediately mineable with the pickaxe that players start with. It’s also possible (although a small chance) to receive Copper Ore from defeated Slimes.
It’s Important to note that it’s possible for some worlds to refuse to generate Copper Ore, instead replacing it with Tin Ore.
Terra Blade (PC Version)
Crafting the Terra Blade is a bit more involved than the Copper Shortsword. For those on PC, they will first need to get their hands on the Night’s Edge and thencombine it at a Mythril or Orichalcum Forge with 20 x Soul of Fright, 20 x Soul of Might, and 20 x Soul of Sight. This will give them the True Night’s Edge.
Next, they’ll want to combine the Excaliburat a Mythril or Orichalcum Forge with 24 x Chlorophyte Bars. This will produce the True Excalibur.
Once players have both swords they can then toss them together (once again at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil) to create the Terra Blade.
Terra Blade (Console Version)
The recipe for the Terra Blade on Console is a bit different. First, players can craft the True Night’s Edge at the appropriate anvil by using aNight’s Edge and a Broken Hero Sword.
The True Excalibur is made in the same manner,combining the Excalibur with a Broken Hero Swordat a Mythril or Orichalcum anvil.
Once those two swords are completed,players will simply have to combine the two to receive the Terra Blade, and do not need to combine both swords with a Broken Hero Sword as they do on the PC version.
Quite clearly, fans that wantTerraria’s new final sword have their work cut out for them, as they will need to tackle Hardmode and farm a variety of bosses in thisadventure game. That said, players that do put in the effort will be rewarded with a weapon with 193 melee damage, 18% critical strike chance, average speed, and strong knockback. While this is a lower base damage than Meowmere, it is indicated thatTerraria’s Zenith is more powerful.
It has been nine years sinceTerraria’s release datearrived, and the launch of Journey’s End will feel bittersweet to many fans. Fortunately, obtaining the Zenith sword and exploring all of the rest of the new content added in update 1.4 should take players quite a while, making this farewell a protracted one indeed.
