Going forward, she will be making her feature film directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures, the studio behind award-winning films likeThe Shape of Water,Little Miss Sunshine,Nomadland, andBlack Swan.

Little else is known about the project at this time, as information regarding the name, the genre of film, casting, and release window is being kept under wraps. However, the fact that it is an original script that’s being produced with such a well-known studio is sure to intrigue film buffs who may not have known of the music artist’s previous work, although Swift did win two “Best Direction” awards at the MTV VMAs for the short films she directed. It was also recently reported thatRyan Reynolds wants Swift forDeadpool 3, citing his entire family in support of her musical career.
Although Swift is now transitioning from songwriting and performing to directing a film, the artist has always had an interest in film.
