This news comes just in time, sinceSWTORwill be celebrating an anniversary soon: on June 19, 2025, the game will be a decade old. At the time of its release, BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk said he wanted to make storylines and personal choice the centerpiece of this MMORPG, and said it would “fundamentally change the way people perceive MMOs moving forward.“The classes and decisions players choose inThe Old Republicgive BioWare’s first MMO the richness it needed to endure as a game.

The game featured a lot of great voice actors. Some players may recognize Grey Griffin, known for being the voices of Sherri, Terri, and Martin Prince fromThe Simpsons,in the voices of the apprentices and the female bounty hunter. MADtv’s Andrew Bowen played Doc, and since then has appeared inThe Division,Fallout 76,Mortal Kombat 10and11, and even provided voices for the English dub ofThe Final Fantasy VII Remake, which released last April in the USA.

Last year it was uncertain whetherEA and Valve would be able to reconcile their differences, but that has changed. EA has been working tirelessly to put out its popular titles on the platform, includingThe Simsfranchise which dropped last Saturday,Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderin November, and a multitude of EA Originals, in time to launch EA Access on Steam.
