Bethesda probably didn’t expect theSkyrimfan base to get quite so silly, but as seen in a recent stream in which a player decides the game’s NPCs should spawn cheese every second, the community is not above having a little fun. Despite its high-octane adventuring and battles with dragons,The Elder Scrolls 5is considered by many to be afantastic RPG to relax to, with the game allowing the Dragonborn to simply live in a serene setting.
Of course, for many players, things are often far from peaceful. As well as the aforementioned action and questing, there are someweird things that go on inSkyrim, whether it’s due to one of the game’s many glitches or a bizarre mod. Suffice it to say, the long-running fantasy release has been a source of entertainment for well over a decade, and the silliness is showing no signs of slowing down just yet.

As reported by Gfinity, Twitch streamer DougDoug recently decided thatSkyrimneeded more cheese, and not just a few extra wheels here and there. They evidently felt that this slice of Tamriel was missing an absurd amount of cheese. In an effort to rectify this, they decided to incorporate a custom script which would make every single character in the game spawn a wheel of cheese under their feet every second. At just over six hours long, the stream is full of amusing moments, but there are a number of choice incidents that occur throughout, such as around the 3:15:00 mark when DougDoug voices excitement over a chicken in Riverwood spawning a tower of cheese 14 pieces high.
There are several moments like this throughout the playthrough, which is a Dark Brotherhood speedrun, including towards the end at around the 5:53:00 mark when the streamer becomes particularly amused by a person in Solitude leaving a trail of cheese wheels behind them. For some reason,Skyrimplayers love messing around with cheese. Over the years, there have been several examples of people spawning the dairy product into the game, enough to make the whole thing crash.
It’s for reasons like this thatSkyrimhas enjoyed such longevity. While many games would have been forgotten about by now,TES5continues to pull in players with its immersive world and many quests. The fact that people are willing to create their own scripts to mess around with things also shows that fans don’t always take the game seriously, but that only seems to work in its favor.
