The Nintendo Switch port forRemnant: From the Asheshas been given a release date in an announcement trailer recently posted by publisher THQ Nordic. The Nintendo Switch port is also arriving ahead of the sequel toRemnant: From the Asheswhich is expected to arrive later on in 2023.
Remnant: From the Asheswas a surprise hit when it was released back in 2019 and managed to please fans of Soulslike games, third-person shooters, and RPGs. The game earned a Very Positive rating on Steam while enjoying a solid reception from critics who praised the game’s boss design, co-op gameplay, and experimental features. The game boasts tons of replayability and variety thanks to how the environments and enemies get shuffled around on each playthrough, keeping players on their toes with less predictable encounters.Remnant: From the Ashestruly shines in multiplayeras players support each other with complementary character builds.

ANintendo Switch port forRemnant: From the Asheshas been in the works for some time, and THQ Nordic has finally revealed the release date and launch price. Nintendo Switch gamers will be able to get their hands on the game on March 21 for $39.99 USD, the same price point as the other console and PC versions. The Nintendo Switch port doesn’t appear to be introducing any new or exclusive features but will include three-player online co-op gameplay. Although crossplay is available between the Windows Store and Xbox versions, it’s unlikely that the Nintendo Switch port will have this functionality since the PlayStation version hasn’t received crossplay either.
A sequel is also in the works, asRemnant 2was announced at the Game Awardswith a trailer that showed some interesting gameplay footage.Remnant 2will have branching quests, a crafting system, and plenty of loot to collect. Following in the original game’s footsteps,Remnant 2will involve randomly-generated levels that should keep encounters fresh thanks to a variety of new enemies to challenge.Remnant 2will be skipping the previous generation of consoles, instead releasing on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and will hopefully take full advantage of the new hardware since it won’t need to consider older console performance.
Despite the handheld console’s age, an impressive number ofNintendo Switch portshave been popping up recently to breathe new life into Nintendo’s system. Hopefully, Nintendo Switch gamers will continue to gain access to more hit titles from other consoles in the future.
