It seems that the latest update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehas made a subtle change to the Crash map. Reddit user Lumenprotoplasma noticed the change and provided some photographic evidence to back it up.
Prior to the update, theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareCrash map had a “head glitch” spot on the map where players were highly protected and could easily shoot enemies near the map’s helicopter without really having to worry about repercussions. After downloading the newModern Warfareupdate, players will notice that the wall players were abusing has now been shrunk in size, meaning players can’t use this spot without being far more exposed.

This particular spot of theModern WarfareCrash mapwas not particularly well-received by the community, and has been one of the most common criticisms aimed at it. Considering this, it seems likely that this change will be welcome by fans. Since this Crash map change will likely be a popular one, it’s a bit odd that Infinity Ward didn’t mention it in its Update 1.13 patch notes.
This isn’t the first timeModern Warfarestealth-changed or added something to the game, which has led some fans to criticize patch notes for not being thorough enough. However, it’s possible that not all “stealth changes” are necessarily done on purpose. Players can take theModern Warfareplayer collision issue, for example. Some fans thought that Infinity Ward added player collision toModern Warfaremultiplayer on purpose and just didn’t bother mentioning it in patch notes, but player collision was later revealed to be a bug with the studio working on a fix.
Crash isn’t the only map that has had a slight change in the latestModern Warfareupdate. Players will also notice that the large television screens on thePiccadilly mapnow occasionally flash an image of what appears to be a large white skull. Speculation points to this being a reference to an upcomingModern WarfareOperator, with many predicting that the next playable character coming to the game will be none other thanModern Warfare 2’s Ghost.
WithModern WarfareSeason Onestill having a few more weeks to go before its conclusion, though, fans shouldn’t expect a reveal of Ghost until next month.
