Insomniac has confirmed that enabling accessibility options will not disable trophies, meaningRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartwon’t rely on specific settings for trophies to still be earned. This is especially great news for those who need accessibility options and would like to earn trophies. However, the real positive to take from this is that Insomniac and other developers are beginning to make staple changes that impact the games industry and allow a wider audience of players to partake.

Despite not revealing a complete list, Insomniac has revealed some of theRatchet and Clankaccessibility options. For example, gamers with physical disabilities will have the option of Simplified Traversal, which makes navigating throughout the game a much easier task, as it dedicates one button for Rift Tethers, Phantom Dash, and Hoverboots. Additionally, players will have the option of altering the colors of heroes, enemies, and allies.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apartwill also have the ability to adjust the sensitivity of camera shake and give players the option to change button holds into toggles, making actions like firing weapons a much simpler process. Players will find other assist options for the intensity of aim assist, which, if increased, will help with the game automatically targeting whatever the player is attempting to aim towards.
