Rare Sandy dialogue has left someStardew Valleyfans wishing they could romance Sandy in the popular life simulation game.Stardew Valleyis a hugely popular life sim that has gone on to inspire countless copycats. There are manyStardew Valleyclones on the market, but few have been able to live up to the incredibly high bar set by the game.
One of the most popular features inStardew Valleyis the ability to romance many of the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes that players come across in the game. By givingStardew Valleycharactersgifts and spending time with them, players can increase their friendship level with that particular character. After raising the friendship level high enough,Stardew Valleyplayers may even get the option to romance that character, which can potentially result in marriage and having kids.

Players are able to raise their friendship level with practically everyone inStardew Valley, but that doesn’t mean everyone can be romanced. Many of the older characters in the game are off-limits, including Sandy. Reddit user iadorebrandon recently reachedmax friendship level with Sandy, which triggered some rare dialogue that has fans calling for the ability to romance her. “If I didn’t have this shop to run I’d come back to the valley with you for a day or two… just you and me on the old farm.” This dialogue could be interpreted as platonic, but others clearly believe it is meant to be romantic on Sandy’s part.
ForStardew Valleyplayers that have yet to meet her, Sandy can be found in theCalico Desert areaof the game. Unlike other shop owners in the game, Sandy rarely ever leaves her place of work except on the rare occasions when she spends time with Emily. There’s not a ton that players can learn about Sandy and her backstory beyond that she is friends with Emily, but regardless, many are wanting to see her as a romance option or at least leave the desert more often, if the comments on the Reddit post are any indication.
It’s unlikely that Sandy will be made aromance option inStardew Valleyin an official capacity, but the good news is that there are mods for the game that make it possible. This doesn’t help outStardew Valleyconsole players who want to romance Sandy, but it’s something those who play the game on PC should consider installing.
While fans shouldn’t hold their breath about Sandy becoming an official playable character inStardew Valley, there is still some new content to look forward to on the horizon.Stardew Valleyupdate 1.6 is in the worksafter all, and beyond that, fans can get excited to play developer ConcernedApe’s next game,Haunted Chocolatier.
