From now until May 25, players with a subscription or free trial to Amazon Prime can get the Lil’ XT battle pet with the click of a button. Modeled after the XT-002 Deconstructor boss fromthe Ulduar raid inWrath of the Lich King, the Lil’ XT pet sometimes repeats the childish lines of his bigger counterpart. In addition to being a powerful battle pet, Lil’ XT has special, violent interactions with the Clockwork Rocket Bot, the Crashin’ Thrashin Racer Controller, and the Toy Train Set.

Originally, Lil XT was available on the Battle.net Shop, though it was also given away with the oldWoWMobile Armory subscription system, to Korean players who boughtStarCraft: Remastered, and as a part of the See You Later Bundle from 2018. The pet was removed from the shop in 2019, meaning players could only get this pet via the Landro’s Lil’ XTcard from theWorld of WarcraftTCG, which awarded an identical version of the mechanical companion.

As with all of these recent limited-time giveaways, theWorld of Warcraftcommunity is torn. The majority of players are happy they have another chance to earn these rewards that could otherwise run hundreds or even thousands of dollars, but some who already had them are upset that their exclusive items are being given out for free. Unfortunately for them, it seemsWorld of Warcraftwill probably continue this trend for future Twitch Dropsand Prime Gaming rewards.
