Of course, before going to the Fairy Crew base, Pokemon trainers should ensure to have the following type of Pokemon or just moves that have these typings:PoisonandSteel.

Ortega uses Fairy-type Pokemon, and players will need to face off against multiple Fairy Pokemon while doing the Star Barrage portion of the base takedown. It’s also worth remembering thatFairy-type Pokemon have an advantage over Dark, Dragon, and Fighting-typePokemon and moves.

Updated on June 21, 2025:Since many players have already beaten Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s main story, we’ve updated this guide with therematch information for Ortega. Trainers can rematch all five of the Team Star bosses once the credits have rolled.

How to Get to the Fairy Crew Base

The Fairy Crew base will most likely be the last Team Star boss that players will run into in the Paldea region. The reason is that the base is to the far north corner of the island, behind Glaseado Mountainand northwest of Montenevera.

Once players reach the front gate of the base, they’ll need to face off against a trainer with a level 48Morgremand level 49Hattrem. Morgrem is weak to Fairy, Steel, and Poison, and Hattrem is weak to Ghost, Dark, and Bug. Once he’s taken down, players will begin the Star Barrage.

Fairy Crew Star Barrage

Just like the other bases, players will need to take down 30 Pokemon within the 10-minute time limit. Players will use the first three Pokemon in their party and use the R button to send them out for auto-battles. If players find that their Pokemon are losing health rapidly, they can seek out a nearby vending machine or go to the front gate and speak to Clive.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violettrainers will face several Pokemon while running around the base, including Tinkatuff, Tinkatink, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Marill, and Morgrem. After 30 Pokemon are defeated, players will finally be able to fight against the leader, Ortega.

Ortega Rematch Battle

AfterPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers beat the main story, they’ll have the chance to visit the defeated Team Star bases and face the leaders in a rematch. Their team of pocket monsters will be much tougher this time around, but they will not have the Starmobile.

Ortega’s rematch teamwill have the following Pokemon:Klefki,Azumarill,Wigglytuff,Dachsbun, andHatterene. The main thing to remember for this fight is that every Pokemon on the team is at least one part Fairy-type, which means if players bring Pokemon with the following move types, they should have no issues taking Ortega down:

With Poison and Steel-type moves, players should be able to easily beat at least four out of the five monsters. The first Pokemon in the team,Klefki, however, will need to be hit with a strong Ground or Fire-type move.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violettrainers will get Prize Moneyfor beating the rematch team; however, if they participate in the Star Barrage before fighting the bosses, they can earn some League Points, too. However, it’s not required.
