For longtime fans of the series, it seems there will be plenty to do inPokemon ScarletandViolet’sPaldea region, but those who have been playingPokemonfor some time will also be aware of some additions to the franchise outside the games.Usually, each new generation ofPokemongames come with their own sets for thePokemon TCG. As one of the most popular trading card games out there, fans often keep a close eye on thePokemon TCGto see when new cards, sets, and promotions will be released. The Paldea Collection was first revealed on the officialPokemonwebsite, and features three unique sets tied to the starter Pokemon inScarletandViolet. Whichever starter a player chooses for their set, they will get a foil promotional card alongside an enamel pin to match their choice.
Each set also comes with four booster packs, a code card usable in either thePokemon TCG OnlineorPokemon TCG Live, and an oversized foil card featuring Miraidon or Koraidon, which are thelegendaries inPokemon ScarletandViolet’scover art. Unlike the games, which launch this November, fans will have to wait until June 21, 2025 to get their hands on the sets in the Paldea Collection. Still, this isn’t too long of a wait considering 2022 is already nearing its end.
Unfortunately, for those wanting the reveal of a new Pokemon or some key information inScarletandVioletto come with the announcement of thePokemon TCGsets, it seems the Pokemon Company is keeping its cards fairly close to its chest for now. However, a lot ofnew Pokemon forPokemon ScarletandViolethave already been unveiled through the games' multiple trailers, which have given fans a closer look at what they can catch in Paldea.
