The event introduces new in-game content, such as a Field Research quest, multiple Collection Challenges, bonuses, raid battles, and more. ThePokemon GOSizeable Surprises event starts onThursday, April 4, at 10 AMand runs for 5 days untilTuesday, April 9, at 8 PM Local Time. Players can participate in 5-star raids featuring Celesteela and Kartana to secure a chance toencounter Shiny Celesteelaand Shiny Kartana for the first time during the event. The Field Research quest features multiple tasks that reward different in-game items and featured Pokemon encounters upon completion. In addition, the event offers 2 different Collection Challenges, which also reward valuable items and Pokemon encounters.

Pokemon GOdevelopers at Niantichave introduced 2 different Collection Challenges during the Sizeable Surprises event. The Collection Challenges are named Tiny Treasures Collection Challenge and Giant Gems Collection Challenge. Each of these Collection Challenges tasks players with catching 5 featured monsters. Different monsters and rewards are set for different Collection Challenges.
