The year 2021 continues to move forward, with August now being over and September beginning. ForPokemon GOplayers, this means that new events will be coming on the horizon, but it also serves as a time to check which promo codes are currently active in-game.
Pokemon GOpromo codes are free codes that players can redeem in-game to earn various rewards. These rewards vary from helpful items that assist in catching Pokemon, hatching eggs, or making Pokemon more powerful to stylish cosmetic items for players' trainer avatars.

Each promo code can only be used once perPokemon GOaccount. These codes additionally do not last forever. As such, players are recommended to redeem any codes as soon as possible before they eventually expire. It is also recommended to share codes with friends,and otherPokemon GOplayersas certain items can never be gotten again after the code expires.
September 2021 Pokemon GO Promo Codes
At this time, there is only one code that can be redeemed for a free reward. This code is for theSamsung Galaxytrainer avatar items provided by Verizon. These avatar items are a unisex shirt and cap that read “awesome” on them. The code for this is:

This code isn’t to be confused with theprevious Verizon promo codefrom late 2020 that gave players a Verizon mask, jacket, and backpack for their trainer avatars. That code is among the many now expired codes that players can no longer redeem.
How to Enter a Promo Code in Pokemon GO
Players who haven’t used a promo code inPokemon GObefore may not know exactly where to redeem it for their accounts. Luckily, thePokemon GOcode redemption processis simple, making it easy for players to enter whatever active codes they currently have and get their rewards.
To enter a code, players must first open thePokemon GOapp and go to the game’s in-game store. From there, players need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the store page, where they will find the text box where codes can be entered.
Codes can be pasted or directly typed to redeem them. Players will instantly know if they’ve entered the code correctly after pressing the redeem button with their new items appearing in item bubbles on the screen.
There is no limit to how many codes players can redeem in one day, but with only one active code at this time, players can only enter that one. It is unknown when more codes will be released later in the year.
