If they do their homework first that is. Tier 3 Raid Bosses can usually be solo’d, but only if players understand the boss' weaknesses and assemble a strategic counter roster.

Fighting-type Pokemon have three major weaknesses to keep in mind, which should offer players a nice variety of counter roster options. Trainers have a lot of different directions they can go in as they pull together their counter roster, including a lineup of Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-types. Although tier 3 Battle Raids aren’t as challenging as Legendary and Mega showdowns, trainers may still want to take the time to spend someStardust, Candy, and Elite TMsto get everything in order before the fight.

Hariyama Weaknesses

This tier 3 Battle Raid boss is a Fighting-type, which means thatHariyama is weak against Flying, Psychic, and Fairy–type moves.

Hariyama Resistances (Avoid These!)

Hariyama is resistant against Bug-, Dark-, and Rock-typeattacks. Players should avoid putting Pokemon reliant on those move types in their lineup.

Deoxys (Attack) - Zen Headbutt/Zap Cannon

Regigigas - Zen Headbutt/Giga Impact

Assembling a counter roster based on those suggestions should be all it takes to defeat Hariyama in tier three Battle Raids. Be sure to stick to the recommended counter types and enter the battle with enough allies around to help out and earn that one attempt victory. High level players with the best counters can technically solo this tier three raid boss, but players who want to play it safe shouldenter the fight with one to three friendsinstead to secure a successful battle.
