Summary
A creative fan has envisioned what the Past Paradox form of mythical Pokemon Deoxys would look like, if it were actually available inPokemonScarlet and Violet. There are a limited number ofParadox forms inScarlet and Violet, and that is why so many players have decided to take it upon themselves to design concepts of what their favorite pocket creatures would look like as these particular versions.
Given that these particular forms were first introduced as a unique feature ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is understandable why the player base seems to be so fixated on them. The recent Pokemon Presents show held in August 2023 also stoked the fire for this fixation, given the announcement thatnew Paradox forms for Raikou and Cobalionwill be making their way into the game’s upcoming DLC. So, it is not surprising for fans to be filled with excitement, and have renewed vigor when it comes to making fan art that focuses on these special versions.

Adding to the large list ofPokemon Scarlet and VioletParadox form fan art, Redditor El-psy-congroo-01 posted a commissioned piece they made of mythical Pokemon Deoxys. The design concept has retained several features of the mythical pocket creature, namely its red-orange and blue color scheme, the black body from its Attack and Speede Formes, and the Pokemon’s iconic tentacle-like arms. However, the artist seems to have made their design more prehistoric-looking, adding purple spikes on its arms and top of its head while turning its eyes yellow, resulting in a more feral appearance.
According to the Redditor, this commissioned piece was co-created with another Reddit user named Mathias_Greyjoy, who posted a lengthy lore and backstory as to why the mythical pocket creature Deoxys had a Past Paradox form. The creators called it the “Twisted Gene” and also made a shiny variant to show off to fellowPokemon Scarlet and Violetfans. Those who were fond of the mythical Pokemon were very impressed with the artwork, complimenting the artist’s style and attention to detail. However, some seemed to focus more on the lore the creators shared, participating heavily in the discussion of the form’s story.
El-psy-congroo-01 seems to have a penchant for making Paradox form fan art forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, and recently making pieces based onlegendary pocket creatures Raikouand Terrakion. Hopefully this Deoxys one will not be their last, and that they post more of their interesting visuals and stories with fellow fans in the forum.
