At the time of this writing, there are four quests, or “campaigns” for players to complete. One is simply for playing a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 game in the month of October, and doing so will get players theT-Rex from the PS1 tech demo. Another quest is called Hit Play/1994, which gets players a digital Sony Chord Machine. This PlayStation Stars campaign gives players various song titles, and they have to figure out which games those titles correspond to and launch them to complete the game.

Another quest gets players a Novelty Toy Fight Trophy collectible, and it’s for playing fighting games. The options includeStreet Fighter 5,Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3,Mortal Kombat 11, andTekken 7. It’s unclear at the time of this writing if players need to play all those fighting games or if just one will work.

And finally, the last campaign currently available to early PlayStation Stars gamers is called PlayStation Store Picks. To complete this quest, players need to purchase a game from the PlayStation Store. They can choose fromNBA 2K23,Saints Row 5,TMNT Collection,The Last of Us Part 1,Inscryption, andMadden NFL 23. Making one of these purchases will get players 50 points in return. That’s not going to go far in the rewards section, as it costs 5,000 points to get $20 inPlayStation Store credit, and the digital collectibles are going for 200 points a pop. But it’s better than getting nothing in return for a purchase.

Right now, the PlayStation Stars program is only accessible online and through thePlayStation App. Even though there was a new PS5 system update today, there is no way to browse PlayStation Stars on console just yet, but Sony plans on adding that functionality at some point down the line.
