InPersona 3 Reload, Elizabeth’s Requests begin on 5/10, and they include a mix of combat milestones, fusion requests, and real-world fetch quests. Her second batch of requests drop on 6/13, and they include Request 29, “I want to look fashionable.”
The text of the request is somewhat vague, but there’s only one area inPersona 3 Reloadthat really matches her description. Unfortunately, buying the item directly is almost impossible unless you’re currently in a New Game Plus playthrough. There’s a way to get the item for cheaper, butyou’ll need to make real progress in Arqa first.
How to Get the Fashionable Item
The merchant you’re looking for is the Luxury Shopkeeper in the back of Escapade. To get inside Escapade, you need Rank 2 Courage (Ordinary), which isn’t hard to manage. If you’re having trouble increasing Courage, the Wilduck restaurant in the strip mall is a great place to get a lot of it all at once.
The shopkeeper will admit that he has what you’re looking for, but his selling price is 150,000 yen. At this point in the game, that’smost of the money you get from a complete run through Tartarus. However, he’s willing to lower his price if you’re able to give him a Black Quartz.
Where to Find Black Quartz
After talking to the Luxury Shopkeeper, you may return to Elizabeth and discuss the problem with her. She’ll mention that an enemy called the Lustful Snake drops Black Quartz, and you can find themon the upper levels of Arqa in Tartarus.
Specifically, the Lustful Snake is the Formidable Shadow on floors 55 through 67. It’s vulnerable to Ice, so hit it two or three times with Ice attacks to get enough All-Out Attacks to finish it off. Lustful Snakes don’t always drop Black Quartz, but you should have at least one gem after defeating two or three of them.
Once you have the item, head back to Escapade and speak to the Luxury Shopkeeper again. He’ll ask for the Black Quartz, and if you give it to him, he’ll cut the price of the Fashionable Glasses to 10,000 yen. That’s still a lot, but you should have enough to cover the priceafter running through the second half of Arqa.
You can now return to Elizabeth and complete her request. She’ll wear the glasses for a minute, then put them away and give you the promised reward of five Power Incense I. While this quest involves a lot of running around, getting five permanent points to any Persona’s Strength is worth the effort.
