Apex Legendsoriginally comes from the studio Respawn, also known for its work on thecritically acclaimedTitanfallseries. The game has found immense success since it launched in 2019, so the Nintendo Switch’s audience being able to experience it should be a great way to further expand the audience. The Switch release will contain full cross-platform play with the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox releases, alongside the same seasonal content and features from other versions. For returning players,Season 8 of Apex Legends has just begun, so those that might not have played for a while will have a new trove of content to discover.
Feature parity is an essential element of multiplayer cross-platform titles such as these, so it’s comforting to know that EA, Respawn, and Panic Button are trying to give Switch players the best experience possible. However, being able to playApex Legendson the go may be worth that compromise. While EA has confirmed that amobile port ofApex Legendsis in the works, it is confirmed not to release until 2022, so this Switch release gives fans a portable Apex fix in the meantime.
