There is no shortage ofOverwatchcosplays available online, and with a huge roster full of heroes that have distinct appearances, it is easy to understand why. A French cosplayer named Malya has joined in on the trend, with theOverwatchfan posting a series of photos that show off her Brigitte cosplay.
Brigitte is a favorite amongst cosplayers, with some fans even taking unique approacheslike demonic Brigitte outfits. A huge draw to the appeal of these cosplays is just how hard they are to pull off, as Brigitte proudly wears a massive set of armor that covers her body from the neck down. Not only do those looking to embody the hero have to nail this aspect of her look, but other details like her hairstyle and eye color only add to the complexity of the costume. With a mace weapon and shield needed as well, bringing Brigitte to life only gets more difficult.

Malya took the challenge head-on, though, with the cosplayer showing off a series of well-shot photos on her Instagram. The first of the batch sees her kneeling down in a position fitting of the character, with Brigitte’s mace resting at the front of the composition. She also holds Brigitte’s personal shield in her left arm, and the lion insignia on the front of the protective gear is clearly visible. An integral part of the hero’s kit that was inspired byher mentor Reinhardt, its inclusion is certainly welcome.
More shots from the lineup show close-up images of Malya’s take on Brigitte, with the cosplayer’s outfit looking just as great from the harsher angles. Using contacts for Brigitte’s brown eyes while also making sure to nail the hero’s hairstyle, it is clear how much care Malya put into her costume. Another well-edited shot sees Brigitte running through a cloud of orange smoke, with her mace and shield held proudly as she rushes forward. Likely meant to mimicBrigitte’s Rally ultimate, this customized image is improved via some orange lights on the hero’s shield, mace, and headband.
Arguably the best image that was shared by this skilled member oftheOverwatchcommunitysees her recreating one of Brigitte’s most important attacks. The picture sees Malya throwing the mace forward, with the hardened end of the chained weapon hitting a target right above the camera. Not only can the detail of the mace and chain itself be seen from this angle, but it also gives the best look at the orange and white armor worn by the cosplayer.
For those interested, Malya has also posted cosplays of herself dressed as Brigitte’s fellowOverwatchmember Tracer, too. WithOverwatch 2’s hero redesignssure to provide new cosplay opportunities, it will be interesting to see if Malya can top her current version of Brigitte’s armor and weapons.
