Overwatch 2players have discovered that the new Raijin Ashe skin has a significant design issue that can impact gameplay for those using it. While the developers at Blizzard are working on a fix for the problem,Overwatch 2gamers might want to choose a different skin for the hero in the meantime.
Despite not being added to the originalOverwatchroster until July 14, 2025, Ashe has garnered a numbered of iconic skins since her release. Following thelaunch of Season 3 ofOverwatch 2, Blizzard has added another Ashe-themed cosmetic to the collection with the introduction of the Raijin skin. This new design is based on the Japanese god of lightning, thunder, and storms. While many fans enjoy the look of the new skin, some think its appearance lacks functionality.

Recently, gamers have started taking to the internet to highlight a problem with theRaijin Ashe skin inOverwatch 2. Specifically, they have pointed to an issue with the design of the iron sights on the gun, making it more challenging to see the rest of the battlefield. This problem was pointed out in a tweet from a Twitter user known as Miraak, where they shared a couple of screenshots that showed a side-by-side comparison of the iron sights on the new Raijin skin and those on the default rifle design. From these images, it was easy to see that more of the screen was blocked while aiming down sights with the new skin.
Fortunately, the developers at Blizzard have heard the concerns of theOverwatch 2community and have responded. According to a tweet from Jared Neuss, the Executive Producer ofOverwatch 2, the development team is working on a fix for the gun so that the iron sights do not obscure the user’s field of view. While the exact timing of this update to the weapon is unknown, Neuss said it should happen “no later" than the launch of Season 4, which he noted was in April. In addition, he revealed that everybody who purchases this bundle will receive a name card that was supposed to be included with the Raijin Ashe skin initially.
While the Raijin Ashe skin is not one of the many cosmetics available in theSeason 3 Battle Pass forOverwatch 2, players can still purchase it from the in-game shop despite the issues with the iron sights. Unfortunately, the issue is compounded by the fact that there does not seem to be a way for players to see what the iron sights on the weapon will look like until they have already purchased the skin.
It will be interesting to see when this design issue with the Raijin Ashe skin is resolved. Hopefully, Blizzard can implement a fix soon so players can continue to use this new skin for theDPS hero inOverwatch 2without potentially suffering an in-game disadvantage.
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
