Who Is Avalo Pizarro?
Avalo Pizarro is a member of the Blackbeard Pirates who joined the group after Blackbeard infiltrated Impel Downand freed level 6 prisoners. Pizarro was one of the criminals locked in level 6, meaning that his existence itself was a threat to the World Government. The level of fear that he had caused was such that the Government deemed it fit to erase his existence, hence why he was locked in level 6. After being freed, he headed off to Marineford with Blackbeard and the crew and took part in the death of Yonko Whitebeard. Pizarro has, since then, been an integral part of the Blackbeard Pirates and played a major role in the crew becoming a part of the Four Emperors
He is the captain of the Seventh Ship of the Blackbeard Pirates and it must be noted that rank here does not imply a higher level of strength. Before he joined the Blackbeard Pirates or was locked away and Impel Down, Pizarro was known across the South Blue as the Corrupt King. Just by his moniker alone, it can be inferred that he was a King of some nation in the South Blue and was most likely very greedy and corrupt. That eventually led him to piracy and somehow, he made a great name for himself. Pizarro ended up being captured by the Navy at an unknown time and thrown in Impel Down.
The Power Of The Shima Shima no Mi
InOne Piecechapter 1080, fans got to see a unit of the Blackbeard Pirates on the Pirate Island. There, a glimpse of Shiryu was provided to the fans, along with Avalo Pizarro. While readers are well aware of the Devil Fruit powers that Shiryu possesses, the powers of Pizarro came as a surprise. It was revealed inOne Piece1080 that Pizarro is a user of the Shima Shima no Mi. This Devil Fruit is a Paramecia type and it allows Pizarro to control islands by assimilating with them. In theory, this fruit is very similar to Pica’s Ishi Ishi no Mi. In the case of Pica, his fruit allowed him to assimilate with stone and control it freely. In the case of Pizarro, however, this power extends beyond stone.

Anything that can be considered an island is something that he can assimilate himself with and freely control. He can take control of entire islands andthis power is incredibly dangerousas it gives the Blackbeard Pirates total control over the terrain of battle. It would also mean that taking down Pizarro would mean taking down an entire island itself which is clearly an arduous task for anyone to pull off.
How Strong Is Pizarro With The Shima Shima no Mi?
It goes without saying that Avalo Pizarro is one of the strongest membersof the Blackbeard Piratesand his rank as the Fourth Ship Captain and a member of the 10 Titanic Captains is proof of that. It must also be remembered that the Blackbeard Pirates are only hunting for overpowered Devil Fruits. This in itself means that the Shima Shima no Mi is extremely overpowered. Fans do not need a statement to prove that, as the powers of the island itself that were displayed in chapter 1080 were proof enough of that. Pizarro was seen taking control of the entire island and he could speak through the gigantic skull that can be seen on the Pirate Island.
This skull became his head and to put the size of his body into perspective, San Juan Wolf, who towers at 180 m, was only on a small part of the island. Without a doubt, Pizarro is even bigger than San Juan Wolf. Furthermore, when the slaves tried to escape inOne Piecechapter 1080, Pizarro mentioned that he could feel it on his right pec. This means that he can keep track of everything going on on the island and this makes it extremely difficult to take him by surprise in battle. Pizzarro’s techniques would, automatically, also be great enough to destroy islands and he could potentially also take the form of a gigantic Golem like Pica, only in his case, it would be at the entire island itself. To defeat Pizarro, one would need to be strong enough to destroy an entire island by themselves and that is no small feat in the world ofOne Piece.
