One Piecefinally made its grand return today as the 1054th chapter of the manga was finally published in this week’s issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump.After a month-long hiatus, Eiichiro Oda finally dropped what could be described as one of the most anticipated chapters in years. Although the wait for the chapter was quite long, the events that spanned across it were definitely worth the wait.

Not only did the fans get to see a glimpse of Wano Country but also events from all over the world. Some of the major revelations regarding the Reverie were finally revealed, which means information on the likes of Sabo, Cobra, and Vivi was made known. If that wasn’t enough, One Piece 1054 also included Red-haired Shanks, who is one of the most beloved characters in the entire series. With chapter 1054, titled “Flame Emperor,“One Pieceis well and truly back.
Admiral Green Bull Engages In Combat
As expected, One Piece 1054 gave fans aglimpse of Admiral Green Bull’s abilityfirsthand. While most expected the Admiral to be a Paramecia type Devil Fruit user, his power turned out to be the Logia type Forest-Forest Fruit. With its powers, he engaged the Red Scabbards in combat and revealed a bit more about his rather twisted personality. Green Bull’s justice was revealed to be along the lines of the Celestial Dragons themselves, which surprising, to say the least.

Furthermore, his Devil Fruit is supposed to be one of the strongest in the series so far as it gives them absolute control over forests and vegetation. Despite that, Yamato was able to stop him with rather ease, thanks to his Haki powers. WithGreen Bull held at bay, the party in Wano Country continues and that will likely be the case for the next few chapters. Unfortunately, fans didn’t get to hear anything about Pluton, which was teased in chapter 1053. That said, it is almost a given for it to be brought up in the upcoming chapters.
The Flame Emperor Sabo
The fate of Sabo has been one of the most intriguing mysteries in One Piece ever since the events of the Reverie. In chapter 956, abattle between the Revolutionary Army Commanders, led by Sabo, and Admiral Green Bull and Fujitora was teased. In this chapter, it was finally revealed that the Revolutionary Army were victorious and successfully saved Bartholomew Kuma from there grasp of the Celestial Dragons.
In doing so, Sabo’s fame shot through the roof and what’s more, him being linked to the death of Alabasta’s former King, Cobra, made him a hero to the public. At the same time, it was revealed that Vivi mysteriously vanished from the Reverie, and it is quite possible for her to be under the protection ofthe Revolutionary Army membersthemselves. Things to be getting quite turbulent, with the Revolutionary Army having finally declared war on the World Government. While the current status remains unknown, at the very least, they appear to be unharmed.
Shanks Moves For The One Piece
The inclusion of Shanksin the chapter was quite surprising. Fans didn’t expect him to pop up so early in the story, yet his ship, the Red Force, was revealed to be just outside of Wano Country. His crew seems to have recognized Luffy as a Great Pirate and are quite keen on finally meeting him. Yet, Shanks doesn’t seem to be concerned with that. His target, instead, is Bartolomeo, who burned his flag down in one of his territories and raised Luffy’s Jolly Roger there. What’s surprising is that Shanks is finally entering the war for the One Piece. For the longest time, he had sidelined himself from the affairs of the ongoing era. Now, with Luffy having risen to the position of Yonko, Shanks is finally getting serious and has decided to move against him.
The Final Stretch Of One Piece
With One Piece 1054, the final stretch of the story has officially begun. A new era has been shaken in the New World with the current Yonko being at the helm of the age. As Oda mentioned earlier, now is the time to go for the One Piece, meaning that all the mysteries of the world will finally unravel in this section of the story. Furthermore, embroiled in all that action will be Luffy and his many allies as things slowly build up towards the Final War in the series. As seen towards the end of the chapter, Fleet Admiral Sakazuki will try his best to fight the growing influx of pirates in the New World. However, as fans know already, Luffy will triumph in the end. One Piece’s return was every bit as good as fans expected it to be, if not more. The next few chapters will certainly continue along the same lines and deliver some of the greatest information dump in the past few years.
