Overwatch 2fans have a lot to look forward to on Tuesday, October 25.Overwatch 2launched in early access earlier this month, and while Blizzard has updated it a couple of times since then, it’s first truly big update is coming on October 25.
The biggest thing forOverwatch 2players to look forward to on October 25 is thestart of the annual Halloween Terror event. This year’s Halloween Terror will mark the first seasonal event forOverwatch 2, and it will definitely be interesting to see how it’s handled. At the bare minimum,Overwatch 2fans can expect Halloween Terror 2022 to add some new skins as well as a new version of Junkenstein’s Revenge, but finer details on that front have yet to be revealed.

At the time of this writing, Blizzard has not revealed the newOverwatch 2skins that are coming to the game for Halloween. It also has yet to reveal what fans can expect from the new version of Junkenstein’s Revenge beyond the fact that it will come with the new subtitle,Wrath of the Bride. It’s been heavily teased that theBride of Frankensteinversion of Sombra will play an important role this time around, but fans will have to wait for the event to go live on October 25 to find out more.
Overwatch 2: When Are Bastion and Torbjorn Coming Back to Comp?
Halloween Terror kicking off is reason enough for October 25 to be one of the most exciting days forOverwatch 2since its early access launch, but there’s another reason why fans should mark that day on their calendars. October 25 is also the day that Blizzard plans on bringingDamage heroes Bastion and Torbjornback to theOverwatch 2Competitive mode, which should be exciting for fans of those characters.
Both Bastion and Torbjorn were removed fromOverwatch 2Competitive due to bugs. Torbjorn has remained available to play in some other game modes, but Bastion has been removed fromOverwatch 2entirely. When they return toOverwatch 2Competitive on October 25, they will have a new ally/opponent to deal with becauseSupport hero Kiriko has been added to Compin the time Bastion and Torbjorn have been missing.
Besides Halloween Terror and the return of Bastion and Torbjorn, it’s possible that theOverwatch 2October 25 update will have even more in store for fans. Fans shouldn’t count on any majorOverwatch 2character balance changesin this update, but bug fixes and other tweaks are certainly a possibility. More information should come to light when Blizzard releases the patch notes next week.
Overwatch 2is out now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
