In a recent announcement, Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco explained thatEnotriaincludes three regions with more than 40 hours of gameplay and over 100 unique enemies. Greco further explained that the Italian folklore-inspired game focuses on some of the most important aspects to soulslike players, such as diversity of builds and weaponry. Jyamma is an indie studio made up of about 60 employees, but Greco said he’s proud of the relatively small team’s work.
Greco also confirmed thatEnotria: The Last Songwill release on PlayStation and PC on August 21, but not Xbox. This was done in the interest of “ensuring a superior experience for PC and PlayStation 5 players,” but the CEO said that the studio would reevaluate the viability of an Xbox launch after release. This decision is likely due to Jyamma Games' small team, which can only allocate resources to so many avenues ofEnotria’s development. Its potential Xbox release later on could be based on the game’s initial success. Those planning to playEnotriaon PlayStation or PC will soon have access to a demo, Greco said, which Jyamma is using to gather player feedback and give on-the-fence buyers an opportunity to try the game.

Enotria: The Last Songwas originally set to release on June 21, but Jyamma decided to push this date back due toElden Ring’sShadow of the Erdtreeexpansionreleasing on the same day. Once pre-orders are available,Enotria’s standard edition will be priced at $50 and its deluxe edition at $60. The deluxe option includes three days of early access, a digital art book, soundtrack, exclusive weapons set, upgrade materials, and access to future DLC.
Despite Jyamma trying to avoid the wake of other major soulslike releases, its late August window has run into anothertough competitor inBlack Myth: Wukong, which releases a day beforeEnotriaon August 20.Black Myth’s trailers have generated plenty of excitement among soulslike fans, and it remains to be seen howEnotriawill hold up against it.
