After initially announcing the addition of Stripe at the start of season 1, the latest update toMultiVersusfinally adds the villain fromGremlinswhile also kicking off a new Halloween inspired event. As a live service style game, new updates shouldn’t be too surprising for fans, but the one that Player First Games added today forMultiVersusis a bit more unique than most. After teasing a new roster addition last week,MultiVersushas finally added in theGremlinscharacter known as Stripe.

Fans can unlock the newly added assassin style character for 2,000 Gold, a character ticket, or 700 Gleamium. Better yet, Stripe also has a variant skin called COmbat Stripe which can be unlocked for 800 Gleamium. It’s clear that Player First was waiting for the Halloween season to unleash this villain, asStripe has access to his iconic chainsaw, a flurry of swipes that ends with a bite, as well as a gun that’s perfect for close range hits or targeting enemies at longer range.

Players can earn varying amounts based on a win, loss, or by using specific Halloween style skins like Combat Gizmo and Combat Stripe.

The Halloween rewards have varying price ranges including a Pumpkin Patch Profile Icon for 150 candy, Jack-O-Lantern Emote Sticker for 500 Candy, MummyReindogEpic Variant for 3,000 candy, and a Calico Cake Epic Variant for 12,000 candy. Holiday events, unique cosmetics, and new characters are not the only elements to this update asPlayer First has also tweaked the gameplayas well. The studio has added an anti-infinite system, lowering the same attack limit down to 3. In addition, every character has had their dodge meter return lowered to 6 seconds to add more importance and management when using it. Every character also received a number of tweaks whether that be bug fixes, an outright move change, or a buff and nerf for better balancing.
