Summary
Three more indie games have been added to theXbox 360digital storefront sale ahead of its imminent closure next week. Starting in May, Xbox began to unveil three big waves of digitalXbox 360game discounts for fans looking to secure certain titles before they’re made unavailable on July 29. Major titles likeBatman: Arkham City,Devil May Cry 4,Far Cry 4,Rise of the Tomb Raider, a host ofResident EvilandStreet Fightergames, and more have been put on sale, some of them for as low as $0.99.
During the Xbox One generation, Microsoft managed to bring many original Xbox and 360 games forward to the Xbox One storefront due to the console’s backward compatibility. Unfortunately, not every game has been able to make the jump, and there are still tons of digital games that are still only available on Xbox 360. It’s these games that will no longer be available to buy or own after the360 Marketplace closes on July 29. Due to this, many hardcore Xbox 360 fans have been making an effort to secure some of these games before they’re lost to time.
Despite all three waves ofXbox 360’s farewell salehaving been revealed, Xbox has announced three more indie titles to be made available for dirt cheap.Charlie Murder,The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, andThe Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, all made by Ska Studios, are punk-themed 2D action beat ‘em ups, each with distinctly creepy art styles. None of these three games have been ported to Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, so interested gamers have a week to jump on them for $0.99 each before they’re gone.
Additional Titles Added To Xbox 360 Game Sale
Unfortunately,Xbox 360’s Marketplacedoesn’t have a dedicated sales page where gamers can easily find each discounted title, so fans will need to search for each game individually. Xbox adding these three extra games after the final wave of its big sale could mean that there may be more to come as July 29 approaches. Despite the number of games already included in the sale, there are still many key non-backward compatible titles and DLCs that are still listed at full price, many of them well over a decade old.
As the beloved Xbox 360 shuts down its digital marketplace, many fans of the console are prioritizing the digital titles that were never brought to more modern consoles. All backward compatible original Xbox and Xbox 360 games will remain available on theXbox One and Series X/S storeeven after the 360’s storefront closes.
