Over those years, players have shown off incredible creations made possible through the nearly unlimited supply of blocks found in the game. Despite so many builds being shown on the internet, players continue to come up with new and impressive designs in thevoxel worlds ofMinecraft. Recently, one player came up with another spectacular yet terrifying creation.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as MaxUel_ shared a collection of pictures of a recent build they completed inMinecraft. According to the Reddit user, they decided to make a sandworm inthe middle of a desert biome. One aspect of the creation that made it stand out was its immense size. To highlight the scale of the design, the creator placed the colossal creature behind a small desert town. This was a genius staging decision from MaxUel_ as these small dwellings allowed the creator to better illustrate the humungous size of the worm.

In addition to the scenic surroundings, it was evident that MaxUel_ put a lot of effort into the design of the sandworm inMinecraft. The long segmented body of the worm had a tannish coloration that complimented the arid environment. Furthermore, each segment was separated by a dark brown ring. Of particular interest in the design was the terrifying mouth. With rows of razor-sharp teeth, it was obvious that the worm was not to be trifled with. “If worms were to be added, I’d suggest avoiding the desert,” the creator joked.
This sandworm in the desert created by MaxUel_ piqued the curiosity of many members of theMinecraftcommunity on Reddit. With over 3,000 upvotes in only a few hours, many were impressed with the scale of the design. “How would you even fight that thing?” one person wondered. In addition to complementing the build, numerous fans compared the creature to other famous invertebrates. Some commented that the sandworm reminded them of theworm found in the movieDune. However, others said it reminded them of Shaihuluda in the procedurally generated worlds ofNo Man’s Sky. Still, a few thought the design was reminiscent of the Ice Worm fromSubnautica: Below Zero.
It seemingly never gets old seeing new creations made by members of theMinecraftcommunity. Besides this stunning sandworm crafted by MaxUel_, another fan recently recreated theCollege of Winterhold fromSkyrimin the game. As these build evidence,Minecraftcan be much more than a survival game. The possibilities are seemingly endless for those that approach it with a creative mindset. It will be interesting to see what types of creations ingenious fans design in the months ahead.
