Coker said in his tweets, “Rewatching Luke Cage while I can on Netflix. They’re going to do what they do. It’s theirs. I just hope they don’t sit on it for years to allow for an easier reboot, or re-air it with a different mix, or the N-Word muted. I’d love to do commentary tracks, or the original credits.” Having content changed or taken out of their control is a creative talent’s worst nightmare, so it’s easy to see where Coker is coming from. Some are saying thatMoon Knightits darkest project yet, and it would appear that Marvel Studios is trying to shed that “clean” or “childlike” image that many like to attach to it. If this is the case, then this is the chance for Disney to put actions behind their words.
