However, Free Play mode lets players mix and match characters, bringing characters together who never interacted with each other in the movies.

One funny example can be seen if pairing the characters of young Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader together, with dialogue that alludes to Skywalker’s future of becoming Vader.
In another example, players can seeKylo Renlosing his composure upon meeting Darth Vader. Vader died during the events ofReturn of the Jedi, and with Ren not born until many years after the fact, the two never met in theStar Warsmovies. But considering how much Ren idolizes Vader, his grandfather, it makes sense that he would have a reaction like this upon meeting him in person.
Sometimes these funny interactions come fromStar Warscharacters who did have a chance to interact on-screen, with the dialogue reflecting their movie relationship.
