In the spacesurvival city builder gameIxion, players will find that almost every action they take in terms of moving the Tiqqun has the consequence of damaging the hull of the station. Whether it’s using the Vhole engine to jump to a new star system, moving the Tiqqun closer to an objective, or just sitting there after a jump has caused permanent harm to the structure, players will need to constantly repair the damage that their station has taken.
Luckily, it is quite simple to perform these repairs, though it certainly is not cheap and can be quite difficult to balance.

EVA Airlock
In theIxion, one of the most important buildings that can be researched is the EVA Airlock structure. This structure allows players to build important things like solar panels and engines on the outside of the Tiqqun, allowing for continual power grid expansion, as well as the ability to repair the hull of the station.
Players will need to do this for the entirety of the game, as they have been set to manage a ship that is continually falling apart. This repair is performed by allocating alloy from around the station to the EVA Airlock, which, if powered, will spend it continuously to repair the ever-depleting hull.
Supplying the EVA Airlock with Alloy
In order for the EVA Airlock to repair the Tiqqun inthis brutal survival game, players will need a constant supply of alloy. This means reclaiming every scrap of it that can be found on the ship, and when that supply runs out, players will have to turn to the survival city builder staple of mining for the necessary resources to produce more.
Reclaiming is easy enough. Players simply need to connect an alloy stockpile to one of the resource deposits that are sitting in the Tiqqun’s empty sectors with a road and click the button that appears on the deposit of building material.
To have a more steady stream of alloy, players will first need to utilize the mining mechanic present inthe difficult survival simulation, using the Docking Bay structure that the Tiqqun begins with. Players should order the construction of a mining ship when they have the polymer to do so. Once this ship is complete, players should use a probe to find a deposit of iron in the system and send the probe there.

Once the mining spot has been discovered, players should send their mining ship to the iron through the fleet management screen, as it will automatically target and mine any resource that the player has discovered. For this material to be transported back to the Tiqqun, players will need a cargo ship to pick up the iron. The cargo ship can be constructed at the Docking Bay and will continuously move through the system and bring important materials back to the station, including iron.
Steel Mill
As soon as players have begun to bring iron into their stockpiles, a steel mill should be constructed on the station. The iron stockpile will feed the steel mill, turning 15 iron into 15 alloy every cycle, provided the steel mill is powered and has enough crew.
Multiple EVA Airlocks
As the story progresses throughthis space strategy game, the Tiqqun will begin to take damage at an accelerating pace. Eventually, players will find that a single EVA Airlock will not be sufficient to repair the station. Players should be ready to expand by building multiple Eva Airlocks in multiple sectors, remembering to increase the alloy production and iron mining by a suitable amount to keep airlocks supplied with the necessary alloy.
