Humble Bundlehas become a well-known gaming distribution service in the past few years. Using a pay-what-you-want model, it has let gamers purchase a variety of gaming bundles with some portion of the proceeds going to charity. It quickly found success, where it offered consumers good value while giving its developers a high volume of sales. This organization frequently features high-profile AAA games from big publishers, where its digital redemption keys can also be used across a variety of systems and PC clients. Many of EA’s games have been playable not only through clients like Steam, but also its own desktop applications. One of these is Origin, which first launched back in 2011, being a digital distribution platform for purchasing and playing games from Electronic Arts. However, a few years ago,EA announced that it would be rebranding Origin, with it now being replaced by EA Play. This seems to be extending to the library of games sold on certain digital distribution sites, as EA games are being taken off sites like Humble Bundle.

In a post by Humble Bundle’s support team, it outlined that games published by Electronic Arts will no longer be available on the Humble Store. This extends to any digital codes of games purchased through the storefront, where gamers will have until March 18 at 5:00 PM PDT to redeem any EA or Origin game keys before they expire. The post notes that this will only affect games purchased through the Humble Store and not the ones that have been purchased as a bundle or are currently in aHumble Choice subscription.
The post notes that any account withHumble Bundlethat is linked to Origin will automatically attempt to redeem the keys a day before they expire. However, it is still recommended that players try to manually redeem these keys themselves, as the service will not be providing replacements or refunds after the expiration date. Players who do have an issue with key redemption or purchases made should contact the Humble Bundle support team before March 18.
Some fans have noticed that other gaming storefronts like GreenManGaming, Gamesplanet, and Fanatical are also delisting EA-published games, with keys expiring on the same date listed by Humble Bundle. With the publishing giant moving away from Origin and giving a bigger focus on its proprietaryEA Play subscription serviceand application, it’s possible EA wants gamers to currently focus on its latest service and model. While these games are being removed fromHumble Bundleand other stores for the time being, there’s a possibility for them to come back at a later date.
