InAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, completing every donation forBlather’s museumis a fairly arduous task. Without time travel, most players will be working towards this goal for at least a year, as the available species of bugs and fish changes every month, with some species leaving and new ones appearing.
One of the latest fish to join the list as being currently available is the Nibble Fish. This tiny fish isn’t worth a tremendous amount, even if selling fish to CJ, but without it the museum will never be complete. So here’s howAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers can hunt down the fish for themselves.

Where to Find Them
Nibble Fish only spawn in rivers inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. It appears that it doesn’t matter what level the player is on; simply fishing in a river is enough to find one. If players are having difficulty, or have terraformed most of the rivers off their island, they might consider checking out aNook Milesmystery island for more opportunities.
When They’re Available
In Northern Hemisphere islands, Nibble Fish are available starting at thebeginning of Mayand running through the end of September. So players have plenty of time to score this fish if they’re having difficulty with it.
Additionally, Nibble Fish can only be fished up between 9 am and 4 pm. Players can of course change the clock to find the Nibble Fish if they can’t ordinarily play during these hours, but be careful to not let turnips rot.
What They Look Like
Nibble Fish fall under the category of the smallest silhouette of fish in the game. If players aren’t finding many tiny fish, then they can either fish up all the medium and large ones and wait for a respawn, or simply run by the river until medium and large-sized fish are spooked and vanish.
What Nibble Fish Are Worth
Outside of being donated to Blather’s museum, the Nibble Fish will pull in a few bells. Players can sell a Nibble Fish to Timmy and Tommy atNook’s Crannyfor 1,500 bells, or wait until CJ shows up and sell it to him for 1,800 instead.
