HoYoverse recently posted a “Voice of the Galaxy” developer blog to giveHonkai: Star Railplayers a glimpse of its upcoming plans, like quality of life adjustments, and a confirmation of thein-game chat featurecoming toHonkai: Star Railversion 1.1. Probably the most notable update was HoYoverse addressing concerns toward Seele’s ultimate animation.

InHonkai: Star Rail,Seele is a Quantum-element character, who moves so fast that she blinks and disappears on screen when she attacks enemies. While many players seem to be positioning her as their main damage dealer in their teams, they have also noted that the visuals of her ultimate, Butterfly Flurry, was way too flashy and hurt their eyes, especially when they’re playing in 2x speed. In the blog post, HoYoverse acknowledged the feedback, saying that the devs are looking for the best ways to optimize Seele’s ultimate animation. Additionally, it’s planning to add relevant options to let players personalize their gameplay experience further.
As for the rollout of the Seele update, HoYoverse said it won’t be available inHonkai: Star Railversion 1.1 as it will take “extra development and testing.” Meanwhile, many players on social media made several requests to HoYoverse for other features and adjustments that they want inStar Rail, like giving players their own customizable rooms in the Astral Express, and more opportunities to farm resources.
Honkai: Star Railhas only been out for almost a month, but it’s already exceeded many players' expectations, gameplay and storyline-wise. Although its features, and even the main story, are still far from complete, it’s quite clear that many players are looking forward to future updates, so they can uncoverStar Rail’s story further and pull for new characters. But for now, HoYoverse’s dev notes and quality of life updates will suffice.
Of course, like with any HoYoverse game, there have beenHonkai: Star Railleaks that revealed a future character’s gameplay, and 10 unreleased character models. This may be exciting to many avid players, but it’s also worth remembering to take them with a grain of salt to avoid disappointment as HoYoverse’s plans can always change. But if the manyStar Railrumors do end up to be true, then fans of the game might have some interesting team compositions in the future.
