UnusedHawkeyeconcept art reveals a different look for Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. The new character was introduced in theBlack Widowsolo film and made an appearance in the recentHawkeyetelevision series.
This artwork forHawkeyecomes from artist Josh Nizzi, who has done artwork for a number of blockbuster movies, including theAvengersfilms,Spider-Man: Homecoming,Black Panther,Django Unchained,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, andG.I.: Joe Retaliation, to name a few. The post has two slides where fans can look at the “New York wet winter and tactical wear” look for Yelena. The all-black outfit is equipped with the widow gauntlets, a handgun, tactical boots, and a drape that’s assumed to be used to keep herself warm. The look is really cool and a little different from thetypical Black Widow outfit, but it’s practical as opposed to most superhero outfits. If there was an agent that’s hunting down another killer, this is the outfit they’d likely go with.
Yelena Belova is one of the many new charactersto join the Marvel Cinematic Universe this past year. Many of these newer heroes are rumored to be the new makeup of the Young Avengers or perhaps even take the place of their “mentor.” Kate Bishop could potentially take over the Hawkeye mantle, while Belova is poised to be the new Black Widow.
Marvel Studios' television shows have proven that they will be necessary to watch to grasp the full MCU story. Prior to Marvel Studios' implementation of Disney Plus content, it felt like the television shows were their own world, separate from the movies' cinematic storyline. The Defenders,Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and evenDaredevilfelt irrelevant up until recently. However, now it looks like Marvel Studios will be keeping an open mind with regard to bringing these characters back.
Marvel Studios has a lot more projectson the horizon for next year. The studio took a mini break, but it looks like it’s back to full capacity in terms of not letting fans go too long without something new to look forward to.Moon Knight,Ironheart,Black Panther 2,She-Hulk,Blade,Doctor Strange 2andGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3are a few of the many new projects fans can look forward to.
Hawkeyeis currently streaming on Disney Plus.
