There can be no doubt that one of this year’s most highly anticipated games isGhost of Tsushima. And while most players havealready pre-loadedtheir copy on PS4, there are some that may still need a little convincing to purchase the upcoming samurai game. Now it seems that PlayStation is giving those players that push with the release of the new launch trailer.

This isn’t the first trailerGhost of Tsushimahas received recently. It was only a couple weeks ago that PlayStation released its"A Storm is Coming" trailerthat featured some of the breathtaking cinematics for the game. The trailer also helped to clue players in on some of the narrative and thematic elements they will be facing.

Now it seems with the new launch trailer, PlayStation is wanting to focus more on the actual gameplay forGhost of Tsushima. Players can watch as Jin, the game’s protagonist, faces down a variety of enemies, traversing enemy encampments in unique ways, and running through beautiful vistas, all while thehauntingly beautiful score written by Ilan Eshkeri and Shigeru Umebayashiswells in the background.

Now before players get too excited with the trailer saying “available now” at the end, unfortunately, therelease date forGhost of Tsushimais still a few days away. This launch trailer is currently unlisted on PlayStation’s YouTube channel, and this trailer would presumably be made public when the game launches on Friday. Still, it’s nice to get a little sneak peek.

While many are excited about the open-world samurai game, some players may still be worried surrounding some of the smaller details. A couple of weeks ago, Sony released a screenshot of the game’s main menu where it was discovered that theJapanese translationsfor the different menu options were slightly off. These translation errors included New Game turning into “brand-new game” as well as wrong verb choices for Continue and Load Game.

While this may seem like a negligible detail to some, the game seems to pride itself in its dedication to Japanese culture and history, and not having that level of attention could come off as disingenuous to an audience. Hopefully, this was just a one time mistake and when the game releases on July 17, it will be every bit of a masterpiece as it appears.
